Avery County Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Elk River Helping Hands is unique in that it provides expedited emergency relief directly to individuals in the High-Country who have incurred a devastating event, including but not limited to residents of Avery and Watauga Counties in North Carolina and Carter County in Tennessee.
WAMY's mission is to partner with communities and families to provide the disadvantaged the support and tools they need to become self-sufficient. They are local to the High Country have been active in Helene relief and recovery since day one.
We accept monetary donations on our website https://averyhabitat.org/ or mailed to PO Box 1016, Newland, NC 28657. And our Habitat ReStore can accept household items, furniture, building materials, appliances, etc. at 2170 Millers Gap Hwy in Newland.
